Floyd Schofield vs Lucas Bahdi

Fight week

Preview

Floyd Schofield is 19-0 with 13 knockouts and has not fought since June 2025, when he blew out former world champion Tevin Farmer in the first round. He withdrew from a Shakur Stevenson fight in February 2025 after being hospitalised with an illness, and the layoff since has been long. His last decision win, over Rene Tellez Giron, came after he was knocked down in round 11.

Lucas Bahdi is 20-0 with 15 knockouts. He earned this spot by dropping former champion Roger Gutierrez in the sixth round of a decision win in August 2025. His reputation rests on the 2024 knockout of previously unbeaten Ashton Sylve, which collected several Knockout of the Year awards. He has stayed far busier than Schofield.

The vacant WBA belt comes courtesy of Gervonta Davis, who was placed in recess after the Lamont Roach draw in March 2025 amid inactivity and legal problems. The pair are 39-0 combined, so one of them leaves Wintrust Arena in Chicago with a first loss, on a Golden Boy and MVP card on DAZN. Two unbeaten punchers for a lightweight title carries real Fight of the Year upside.
